Guardian Homes
What is a Guardian Home?
Bayou Poodles & Doodles loves all their breeding dogs and treats every pet like family. Unfortunately as we are not a kennel we can only keep a small amount of pets at once to keep the pets we breed loved and properly taken care of. This is where the guardian home comes in! Becoming a guardian home gives you the perfect opportunity to have one of our top notch puppies or adults as a family pet. To become a guardian home, please apply for a puppy and mention you are interested in guardian homing!
How it works for FEMALES: you are required to let us know when she comes into heat, and at the right time she will be brought to us for a course of 3-6 days to mate. At this point she is returned to you until she is close to her due date. Before the point of due date, she is brought back to us for the course of her puppies being born until fully weaned. There is a opportunity to KEEP the litter for the 8 week period under discretion of Bayou Poodles & Doodles for a additional profit. Females are bred 4-5 times before retirement.
How it works for MALES: Bayou Poodles & Doodles will let you know as soon as the female comes into heat that we will need to temporarily home the stud OR bring the female to him for the course of 3-6 days. There is no limit on how many breedings will be done before retirement.
